This event is targeted to specific zip codes experiencing the highest rate of foreclosures in Pima County. Marketing is being conducted through public service announcements, trustee notices for previous 2 months, Freddie Mac and other lenders are also mailing to delinquent borrowers. The format does not include one on one counseling. The focus is to empower homeowners to help themselves and preparing them to talk with lender on their own, or through a counselor. The workbook we are creating will have the documents they need to prepare them, and will include forms we received from our counselors. They will have an opportunity to make an appointment for a later time to meet with a counselor.
